Recycle your own gold workshop

Service Description

Learn how to recycle and remodel your old, unworn jewellery in this five hour workshop. Bring along your own gold or silver to melt down and transform into a new piece of jewellery. Please ensure the pieces you are bringing have a hallmark on them to show the metal quality, if in doubt just get in touch and we can advise. If your pieces have gemstones in them these can be removed at the beginning of the workshop before melting the metal down. Once you have melted down your old jewellery, you can choose to make a ring/stacking rings or a bangle depending on how much metal you have. See images for examples. At least 5 grams is recommended to make a ring. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with some jewellery making experience. You will learn a range of jewellery making techniques from melting, soldering and sawing to forming and polishing in order to complete your remodel. Please note, in the workshop you will be making a plain/textured ring or bangle and we can not reset gemstones during the workshop due to time limitations.
